JD Savelli is a seasoned marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience in management and leadership with Fortune 500 companies. He is also the founder and principal of J.D. Savelli & Associates, a consulting company specialized in helping start up organizations create new businesses and enter new markets.
JD's international track record includes successfully managing sales, business development and marketing for technology companies. He has introduced award winning products, built and managed high performance teams and started and grown businesses to profitability through several channels. Prior to founding marketing for artists, JD was the Vice President of Marketing for Maxtor Corporation where he successfully introduced the award-winning OneTouch technology, doubling the size of the existing market. Prior to that, he led Quantum's pioneering effort into the Personal Video Recorder segment and enabled, with TiVo, a revolution in the way people watch television. As Regional Manager for Quantum, JD mentored a high performance sales team managing close to one billion dollars in revenue across 10 European countries.
JD holds an MBA from Wharton, majoring in Marketing. He also received a B.S. equivalent from the Hautes Ecoles Commerciales (HEC) in Paris. Through his professional career, JD has held several teacher tenures, teaching business to college students, at the undergraduate and graduate level. JD has also been a teacher for several seminars to international professionals with the European Institute of Management.
Through years of passionate discussions with Marco Zecchin, JD discovered there was a real opportunity to contribute his broad marketing expertise to the art world. Their friendly debates on art marketing are the foundation of their cooperation and led to a shared passion to teach artists and empower them to market their art. JD Savelli and Marco Zecchin are currently writing a book for artists based on their teaching on how to focus their creativity to get their art seen and sold.
